‘JRP SIB58 – Angle metrology’ project kick off
The kick-off meeting of the European project ‘JRP SIB58 – Angle metrology’ was held on September 17th, 18th and 19th. That meeting took place in the facilities of the Technological Center Tekniker in Eibar (Spain) and ended with a visit to Fagor Automation facilities in Eskoriatza (also in Spain), linear and angular encoders manufacturing plant.

EMO 2013 – DRIVE-CLiQ connection on Fagor absolute linear and angular encoders with Siemens systems
Fagor Automation has implemented the connection to Siemens systems (Sinamics,etc.) throught the DRIVE-CLiQ interface on its linear and angular encoders.
Fagor has been awarded the Siemens certificate for all its linear encoders series L, G, S/SV, and angular encoders with an outside diameter of 90, 170 y 200 mm.
EMO 2013 – Fagor linear encoders with 10 nanometer resolution and digital interface

Goratu: the longest grinder in Spain with Fagor CNC
Goratu, machine-tool manufacturer located in Elgoibar (Basque Country, Spain) in its process of providing machines more and more customized has just completed the retrofit of the longest surface grinder in Spain.
Retrofitting consists in restoring a machine that has become obsolete or damaged over time in order to get as much productivity as possible out of it. Making retrofitting feasible requires re-using most of the parts of the machine.
