The beginning of the next month will be marked by the 26th Taipei Int’l Machine Tool Show in Taipei (Taiwan), from 07/03 to 12/03.
TIMTOS is Asia’s second largest and Taiwan’s largest metal processing equipment trade show. This event will host a record of 1,103 exhibitors from 21 countries and 5,434 booths to interact with 47,500 projected visitors from 90 nations. To mark the show’s 26th cycle, there will be presented several features, and a fresh focus on industry 4.0 & smart manufacturing for seamless industrial upgrades.
The Basque Government visits Fagor Automation’s facilities in Beijing
On January 16, a delegation from the Basque Government participated in a trade and institutional mission to China, where members met with Basque companies operating in the Asian company, among them, Fagor Automation.
During the five-day visit, the delegation held meetings with the local government in the region of Jiangsu, as well as the chamber of commerce in this area, the largest in China, with more than 170,000 member companies.
Fagor Automation at the 16th Science Week at UPV
On November 2-6, Science, Technology and Innovation Week was held, organized by the University of the Basque Country (UPV) in all three Basque capital cities (Bilbao, Vitoria and San Sebastián). Workshops, scientific stands, educational itineraries, exhibitions, contests, samples, excursions, guided tours and much more were all part of the 16th edition of Science Week.

Fagor Automation has collaborated in two open houses organized by the Intaima Group (Taiwan) in Mexico City and Stuttgart.
The Intaima Group is currently made up by three Taiwanese companies: L&L, Jainnher and Millstart. This alliance of companies has been created to promote the development of the companies in the areas of R&D, production and sales and marketing.
José Pérez Berdud, new CEO of Fagor Automation
Following the retirement of Pedro Ruíz de Aguirre after 8 years in the position, Jóse Pérez Berdud has been chosen to fill the position of Chief Executive Officer of Fagor Automation, as of July 1, 2016.
Favorable assessment of the IMTS and AMB trade fairs
Fagor Automation took away a very optimistic evaluation of both trade fairs held in September.
On the one hand, the IMTS in Chicago was attended by an abundant number of visitors, even more than the previous edition in 2012.
The assessment was very positive, as there was a large presence of FAGOR CNC equipment and linear feedback devices, in both American and imported machines.

Within its exhibition calendar, Fagor Automation will attend 2 important events in September; On one hand, the IMTS, which will be celebrated in Chicago (USA) between 12 to 17 and on the other, the AMB of Stuttgart (Germany) during the days 13 to 17.
Power-OM Project Completed
After four years of research, the Power-OM project, led by the IK4-Tekniker center, is complete, having featured the participation of Fagor Automation and others. The companies that make up this consortium are Goratu (Basque Country), Artis (Germany), Predict (France), Monition Limited (United Kingdom), and the Luleå University of Technology (Sweden).
