Mecânica 2016 ended on Saturday, May 21 with an overall good impression from most of the participants. Given the current political and economic crisis in Brazil, which has gone on for more than a year, many business owners do not know what to expect from the main trade fair in the sector, but the evaluation was excellent.
“The fair is exceeding expectations, far beyond what we imagined. We are very happy,” summarized the CEO of Fagor Automation Brazil, Daniel Carvalho. “We were visited by many active clients, and several of them with projects that were placed on hold had the opportunity to resume activities. I expect good results after Mecânica,” the executive added.
The 31st Mecânica International Trade Fair gathered a qualified group of attendees at the Anhembi Exhibition Hall in São Paulo, which contacted 2,100 brands focused on the innovation and productivity that can be provided by industry 4.0.
Reed Exhibition’s Alcantara Machado reports that between May 17 and 21, 76,500 people visited the pavilion, including more than 1,100 international buyers from 71 countries. More than 40,000 buyers visited the trade fair and for the first time, they received customized recommendations about products and businesses on the website, and news about events on the mobile application.
“Once more, we anticipated trends by creating a true integration between face-to-face meetings and digital tools,” says the organization’s vice president, Paulo Octavio Pereira de Almeida.
