Description and objectives:
The OPTICA project aims to develop an ultra-precision angular encoder based on new optical technologies, positioning itself as a technological leader in position data acquisition for high-value-added sectors. This new system seeks to overcome current limitations in precision and resolution, particularly for advanced industrial applications such as ultra-precise rotary tables for machine tools, metrology, medicine, electronics production, and semiconductors.
The project’s innovative approach lies in a technological breakthrough with current optical systems, enabling the elimination of errors in precision graphs and achieving superior levels of accuracy. Additionally, the project focuses on improving other critical aspects such as system robustness and miniaturization, both of which are highly demanded by the market.
The OPTICA project is centered on developing innovative optical technologies and custom-designed components to achieve more precise and reliable measurement systems. This includes creating a compact and robust reading head, miniaturized electronic boards, and integrating advanced software. All these developments are aimed at enhancing precision, reducing size, and increasing system reliability in demanding applications.
